FVLBI uses current weather and forecast data to make clothing suggestions more appropriate for the conditions. Choose how FVLBI receives your location in Settings.
Choose automatic or manual location
- Open Settings.
- Find Location and Trends.
- Open Weather Location.
- Choose Use automatic to ask your browser or device for GPS access. When access is allowed, automatic mode sends your device coordinates to the FVLBI weather service.
- Enter a manual city and country when you prefer not to use device GPS or want weather for another place. FVLBI saves that city and country in your account settings.
If automatic location is unavailable, FVLBI can show a default-weather notice. Set a manual city and country to replace that fallback.
Open Weather Location settings to choose automatic or manual location.
Why weather may not change immediately
Weather and forecast results are cached for 30 minutes. During that period, the same location can reuse a cached result instead of requesting a new result from the weather provider.
A refresh may continue to show the cached result until the 30-minute period ends. Check the selected location before waiting for a newer result.
How automatic location is processed
Automatic mode sends latitude and longitude from your device to the FVLBI weather service. The service uses those coordinates to request weather data and as part of the weather cache key. Cached weather results are reused for up to 30 minutes.
Read the Privacy Policy for details about location data, service providers, retention, and your rights.
If the weather looks wrong
- Return to Weather Location and confirm whether Automatic or the intended manual city and country is selected.
- Check browser or device location permission before choosing Use automatic again.
- Contact support if the selected location remains wrong after the cached result expires. Include the displayed city, device, browser, and approximate time.
