Troubleshoot garment uploads and appeals

Prepare a supported garment image, resolve upload and review states, and submit an appeal when a wardrobe item was rejected in error.

A useful wardrobe image needs enough detail for item recognition and must pass the upload and content checks. Keep the original image until the item is visible in the wardrobe.

Check the file before uploading

  • Use a JPEG or PNG image up to 10 MB. The app can convert HEIC images on supported devices.
  • The shortest side must be at least 1,080 pixels.
  • Show one garment or footwear item in a single view, with the full item inside the frame.
  • Use even lighting and a plain background so the item edges and color remain visible.
  • Avoid people, faces, personal documents, or unrelated sensitive content in a garment image.

If the upload does not complete

  1. Read the visible message for file type, file size, resolution, storage, or network guidance.
  2. Check the wardrobe item count. Uploads are blocked when the current plan limit is reached or after a downgrade leaves the wardrobe over its new limit.
  3. Keep FVLBI open on a stable connection until the progress state completes.
  4. Export a fresh JPEG or PNG copy when the image cannot be decoded, then upload that copy once.

Open Wardrobe to review item status or start an upload.

A newly uploaded item can remain in processing while background removal, tagging, and moderation finish. Do not create repeated copies while that state is active.

If an item is rejected

Open the item in Wardrobe and read the moderation status. Remove the item and upload a corrected image when the issue is clear. Submit an appeal when the image follows the guidelines and the decision appears incorrect.

  1. Open the rejected item in Wardrobe.
  2. Select Appeal this decision.
  3. Choose the closest appeal reason and add concise context that explains why the image is a permitted garment or footwear item.
  4. Submit the appeal and keep the item in the account while review is pending.

After submission, the item shows Appeal pending. Do not submit another appeal for the same item.

Contact support if an eligible item has no appeal control, remains in processing or Appeal pending for an extended period, or repeatedly fails before upload. Include the item name, appeal time when relevant, file format, dimensions, approximate size, device, and visible error text.
